Duaringa State School is a fully air-conditioned primary school. All classrooms along with the library and music room are fully air-conditioned.

Grounds
The grounds at Duaringa State School are well maintained and have been developed to enhance both their practical and aesthetic value. Attention has been given to providing shade both through tree planting and shade structures. The school is well catered for with planned playground areas which provide fun play areas and outdoor learning environments.
Library – Resource centre
The school library resource centre was constructed in 2013 and forms one of the hubs of the school. It features an extensive collection of fiction and non-fiction books as well as other resource and recreational material in this facility. The library management system is fully computerised and is connected through the school network to the internet. Materials are available for borrowing by students, teachers, staff and parents. This wonderful resource centre is situated next to the music room.
Sporting facilities
These facilities include a tennis court, cricket pitch, cricket practice wicket and the oval. When not being used by the school these facilities are available for community use.
Swimming pool
This facility, being on site, ensures all students from Prep to Year 6 receive basic swimming instruction from a specialist swimming instructor. As the school has a pool on site, our children have the advantage of receiving more tuition time.
